About the Owners - Sabine Savoie and Brian Savoie
Why are we doing this? We are doing this because…
- We strive for a simple life and seek to live in harmony with everything in nature.
- We share a passion for nature and God’s creation.
- We share a love of the outdoors, animals, gardening and recycling.
- We see the terrible destruction of our environment, the one that we humans depend on for life! We see wars over oil, fossil-fuel pollution, poisoned water, nuclear disasters, habitat destruction, and more frequent, powerful and longer lasting natural disasters.
- Human-induced climate change or not, we see a lot of room for improvement!
- We want to make a difference in the world by helping to mobilize groups that do not have a formal structure to conduct urgent, large-scale creation care change programs.
- We need to make rapid progress on comprehensive solutions, but the number and variety of potential actions can be overwhelming. We think both consumers and suppliers need a better, faster way to connect. We can help.
- We think many people can take leadership roles in doing the right things for the environment, and we can provide a way to help them to step up and lead.
“Leaving an inhabitable planet to future generations is, first and foremost, up to us.” [Par 160]
Why Now? We are doing this now because…
- In 2004, we began this business in our minds and hearts, when we drafted our first business plan, one year before Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Brian grew up in this area.
- In 2010, we doubled-down on the plan for business, based on the mayhem of the Gulf Oil Spill disaster.
- In 2015, on May 24th, Pope Francis issued his Encyclical, “Laudato Si: On Care for Our Common Home.” This was also Sabine’s birthday. To us, the Pope’s call to the world was a clear sign, a bright star in the sky that said, “Time is short. Now is the time.”
- In 2016, we started the business in earnest.
“… Given the scale of change, it is no longer possible to find a specific, discrete answer for each part of the problem. It is essential to seek comprehensive solutions which consider the interactions within natural systems themselves and with social systems.” [Par 139]
Why Are We Able to Help? We are able to help because…
- We are not tied to one solution or industry. We will help you do what works.
- We each have decades of experience that will enable us to help those who need it.
- We can see the big picture and help you translate that into one-time and daily actions.
- We want to do what we live and live what we do. We can now preach what we practice and practice what we preach! To help others to take better care of creation will an extension of our life.
- We like a challenge, and this will be one. We also think that we will enjoy it!

Giving Back
Our goal is to help people and the planet. Community is important to us. In conducting our business, we will work within a large community of clients, customers, partners and suppliers. We will support and promote the cause of Creation Care and environmental stewardship among this community. We also plan to dedicate 5% of our work hours and donate 5% of our annual net profits to groups and activities focused on caring for creation.
